[ There's a snort. ] Eames, if there's a moment where the rest of you actually need me so everyone can stay awake or get out or whatever is going on in this place, then we're already in trouble. You've done it without me, you can do it again. [ Nevermind that she was the one who brought Fischer back, who had the idea and the balls to go after him in the first place. ] Let's face it, out of the five of us, I'm probably the one you need the least. My skill set isn't exactly valuable here.

[ It's not something most people would expect her to say -- it's not something she would expect herself to say, most days. The truth, however, is that things have been weighing on her -- Cobb's barbed comments, being kept on a 'need-to-know' basis, Orange pointing out that she doesn't really know them -- and this, for whatever reason, whether it's the days before or the fact that Eames is finally here for her to tell because at least he won't deny it, it's coming out now.

She takes a deep breath. ] I'll let you know. I'll look for an apartment, while I'm at it. [ Harder to tie up a loose end if she's not where they can keep an eye on her, but she hates feeling caged. ]

If you believe that, you've sorely underestimated your self worth. [ Eames doesn't think he's the only person to see Ariadne as she is - a bright mind, a fresh perspective. She's new to the lifestyle, yes, pushy and demanding, but things can be fixed with experience and the other traits aren't a negative. Perhaps he's warmed up to her throughout the job and too during their stay here because she reminds him so much of Moneypenny - well, MP behind the violence and the shivs, that sort of raw, unconstructed talent, ironic with her schooling. Ariadne knows rules but she also knows integral gut feeling. ]

I'm not trying to kick you out. [ Let's just get that straight, here. ] But if that's your own decision, I understand. I wouldn't want to stay under the same roof as Cobb, either.

Try being told every idea and theory you've had and everything else you do is wrong somehow, because someone else is older and wiser and knows more than you do, despite being the one who saved the job, and maybe you'll see why that is.

[ The problem is that no one tells her that. She needs praise from others, not just herself, not just from those who have no idea what it is she's doing and just see a pretty design or a nice idea. She craves it, because as strong-willed and stubborn as she is, she's new at this. She was at the top of the world when she came here, and now everything keeps pushing her down to the bottom. ]

I know. I just... I can't think here half the time, or I'm not allowed to because it might upset someone's delicate dream sensibilities or Cobb will get his post-traumatic stress disorder all over everything. [ There's a shake, somewhere between anger and pure, raw feeling. She's stressed, there's no doubt about that. ] I'm going to go upstairs and not think in a way I actually enjoy. If you're going out, see if there are any decent apartments; you can have a room.

[ And if he has nothing to add, she'll be heading upstairs. ]

[George is very innocently feeding waffle birdseeds when Aria comes up. He gives her a look.]

Have a good chat?

Not really.

[ At least she's honest. Waffle happily makes kissing noises at her. ]

You should let him out of my room and then take off your pants.

[ejhbvevbyu. Well then. George Weasley has never considered himself in any way shy but that was... forward. If he's getting red now it's only due to his blasted Weasley complexion.]

In a hurry?

[ Here, she'll help by taking Waffle and letting him out herself. He doesn't need to pick up anymore noises. ]

Right now, yeah -- which sort of ruins what I'd called you over for, so I hope your afternoon's free.

[ She's still aware enough, despite how frustrated she is, to realize that she still wants to take her time with him... just not right now. ]

[When she comes back in from letting the bird out, he's not going to let her get any further than the door. He plants a hand on either side of the frame, penning her in.]

You know, I could object to being used to get revenge on your flatmates.

[ Oh hello. That is actually... extremely hot, hi. ]

You could.

[ She moves her hands, letting them slide over his sides. ]

I'm pretty sure he went out, though. And I'm not convinced that you mind.

[You're welcome. He leans in to kiss her at the same time as his hands go for his belt buckle. She did tell him to take his pants off.]

Not particularly, no.

[ Now that he's listening, she'll go to work at his shirt. ]

Good. [ And to kiss back, of course. ]

[He starts walking them back, not moving away from her lips just yet. Just because she wants it fast, doesn't mean they can't be civilized and be on the bed.]

[ Civilized, says the one who started all this by making out with her on a desk in his spare room. But she doesn't mind, though she's still trying to get him out of everything. ]

[It's fairly hard to keep kissing her while walking backwards while trying to get his shirt off, but he manages. Mostly. The bump into the end of the bed and he starts kicking his shoes off, moving down to her neck.]

[ She won't fault him if he can't quite do all those things at once; she knows she probably isn't helping, with her hands sliding everywhere. There's a groan when his lips hit her neck, and Ariadne pulls her hands away to tear at the knot of her neckerchief. ]

[Good thing that's gone. He's now shirtless with the front of his trousers open, so it was starting to feel a little unbalanced with her still fully dressed. Also, she was very demanding about him taking his trousers off, and yet she's still wearing hers. That needs to change.]

[ Does it? Because she's rather enjoying him like this. She'll go ahead and pull her shirt off, though, even if it means he has to move away from her neck for a moment. ]

[He sort of enjoys being like this to, but if she really wants to do anything, she's going to have to be a little less clothed. He lets his mouth moves from her neck to her chest, kissing along the top of her breasts. His hand comes down further to start undoing her jeans.]

[ That depends entirely on what she wants to do; it's tempting to have him sit and then go down on him, with the way he's partially undressed. Later, though -- she's not sure she has the patience for that at the moment. She will, however, start working on getting his pants down instead of just open as he works at hers. ]

[Alright. Trousers taken care of. He sits on the edge of the bed, pulling her down with him. His hands come up to cup at her face, bringing their mouths almost together,]

What do you want?

[ It's not as though she has very far to go, but her arms wrap around his shoulders, fingers back in his hair. She wants a lot of things, and shifts to nip at his lower lip before she replies. ]

For this round? [ Because yes, she wants more than one. ] Not to be treated like I'm made of glass.

[A very slow grin spreads over his face.]

Is that right?

[Well then. He tumbles them onto the bed, rolling so that he's on top of her. His mouth goes back to the centre of her chest as he works at getting her out of her trousers altogether. If she wants it quick and dirty, he can certainly go for that.]

[ Her hands don't leave his hair even as they tumble onto the bed, so hopefully he doesn't mind having it pulled a bit. Once he's working on her pants, however, she arches up against him so he can get them off and her hands move, nails scratching down his back. They're short -- they have to be, for her profession -- but that just means she's not being particularly careful. She wants at his neck, though, so one hand returns to his hair to try and tug him up slightly. ]

[He tugs her trousers off in one swift movement and tosses them... somewhere. All that matters is that they aren't on her anymore. He follows where the hands in his hair are leading him, lining their bodies up together. One hand is near her head, keeping himself propped up as the other moves it way up her thigh.]

[ Ariadne shifts up, nipping at his collarbone before really latching on. She doesn't want to be treated like glass, and she's going to extend the same courtesy -- and with every intention of making a mark. Her hands leave his hair, however, sliding over his back without nails this time while her legs part for his hand. ]
