[The camera opens on the video feed. Not much can be seen, as what appears to be a hand is covering most of the camera. There is a THUNK as the device is thrown onto a hard surface and skids slightly until it settles, setting up a clear view of the edge of the fountain. A young man is standing waist-deep in water, drenched to the skin. He pushes his fiery red hair out of his eyes, and peers towards the device with what may be an extremely familiar freckled face.]

Look, if someone’s trying to make a point here, I have bathed today.

[He’s seemed to have worked out that the device is broadcasting, and is nonplussed by it. He hoists himself out of the water and sits of the edge, trying to shakes the water out of his sleeves.]

And Ron, if this is another one of your misguided attempts to ‘cheer me up’, I must say that you’ve reached a bit of an all-time low. Dropping me into a fountain, really? Absolutely no finesse at all. In fact I’m considering disowning you on the spot. And I have water up my ear-hole.

[He tilts his head over and gives it a smack to try and dislodge the water. Wear his left ear should be, there is simply a dark hole in the side of his head.]

If the water seeps into my brain I am holding you personally responsible. I don’t need to be brain-damaged on top of being horribly disfigured.

[He hops to his feet and scoops up the device, holding it level with his face as he turns around, surveying his surroundings.]

Now. Where in bleeding hell am I?

Dragon...okay. Well if they're anything like alligator or snakeskin, use a hair dryer on the cool setting. They should dry up pretty well.

Dragon skin? Really? Did he sit still for the skinning?

Generally they kill them first. Why, are you one of those 'save the dragons' lot?

Nope. In general I'm more of a kill, kill, kill girl. Unless they're all 'Puff the magic dragon' which so beside the point because it's not really about a dragon.

[Well, he's impressed and intimidated by the killing part. After that you lost him.]

I've never heard of any Puff the Dragon. And they all are ruddy magic, aren't they?

[She does that with a lot of people, George. Don't feel bad.]

Anyway...I don't know? I've only seen one and he was flying so he could have been ruddy magic? Or he could have been very good magic or maybe just a giant mosquito.

I don't know how accurate that song is, really. Most dragons would eat a squirt as soon as look at one.

Squirt? What? Huh? [Have a supremely confused Buffy.]

Or anything, really. They're not overly picky about who they munch on.

Oh. Yeah, I guess they wouldn't be. What with the fire and the...do you have a lot of dragons where you're from?

Not very many in England, no. Not nearly enough open land for them. My brother works at a dragon sanctuary in Romania.

And here I thought their big import was vampires.

They can't have both?

Guess they can but that's kind of greedy in the preternatural imports category, isn't it?

Well that's just Romanians, innit.

I think I'll have to get to know some more Romanians to be sure. [She's smiling though.]

Can't say I'm too familiar, either. But Charlie's told us some stories.

Brother, yeah. Second from the top, that one. He's been working with the dragons in Romania for bloody ages now.

How do you work with a dragon? I mean...are they tame-able? Because the one I saw was all flying and breathing fire and I think you mentioned not caring what he ate?

I don't know if you could ever really tame a dragon, but they have their methods. Enough to keep them in one area and not eating all the local livestock. Merlin knows how they do it, though. Charlie's always got burns all the way up his arms.

That is very cool and also kind of scary with the burning. I didn't know it was even possible.

You have to be a right nutter to do it, yeah.

[That makes her laugh a bit.]
